So I have all of this stuff on the web and I’m not quite sure what to do with it. Then the idea hit. I can put it on my side bar! I hope that some of this stuff will be useful to you. Here’s the run down.
I gave in to the trend and got a Flickr account. Since I’m always taking pictures, I thought that I would start posting them for friends and family to enjoy. Also, if you find photography interesting, I have been experimenting quite a bit with our digital camera and will post anything worth a look. In order to conserve space, I’m trying to only post pictures that have been reduced. Just drop me an e-mail or post a comment if you would like a full-size version. (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Some people love it. Others don’t know what to do with it. I decided to use my del.icio.us account to make a cloud to put on the side of my blog. In it you’ll find some good theology links, including a link to the greatest NT Wright page ever assembled. You can also find some articles on Web 2.0: something that is important to understand, even thought it’s really hard to understand, even though we utilize it everyday. sigh.
Besides that, you can find some of our personal hobbies on there and they may give you a good laugh. I was looking into making my own maple syrup, and ammassed a large collection of web sites. The best ones are on del.icio.us. I think that’s one project that needs to be shelved.
The other topic you’ll find in my del.icio.us cloud is our current interest in rabbits. Yes, we are adopting several rabbits from the Rabbit Resource in Upstate NY. Given some training and supervision, rabbits can make excellent pets to have around the house. While they’re a bit more work than dogs and cats, they are much more social than cats and beg like a dob while never getting too annoying. Of course you can’t quite take them for a walk, but they have some good things going for them. We’ll see what happens.
