On the Iraq Study Group Report

I’m not a big politcs blogger, but I just wanted to say that I appreciate how seriously President Bush is taking this report. Of course we could have trouble if the President doesn’t like what he finds. I just hope Bush responds to the tune of the study group.

And if you didn’t click on any of those links, then I suppose this post doesn’t make any sense.

Don’t be too optimistic about this report. It was authored by Mr. James Baker, lawyer to House of Saud.

The Iraq War seems to me to be a proxy war of Saudi Arabia and Iran (OPEC) vs Iraq, with the goal of keeping the OPEC Cartel in operation.

Would men really go to such lengths to kill and plunder another country just take their money? Of course, the better question would be, has there ever been a war that wasn’t economically motivated.

Interesting article Adam. There’s always something going on beneath the surface with these events.

My point here in linking to the cartoons is that I don’t think Bush will make good decisions with this plan in hand, even if it is flawed.

I’ll have to do more research into the connection of Saudi Arabia to the conflict in Iraq.
