Snow Vigil, Day 6

As of January first our south west corner of Vermont has been locked in a snow famine unlike anything the locals have seen for quite some time. Last year we didn’t have a lot of snow, but it was at least cold.

The winter of 2007 has felt more like Spring than anything else. Yesterday the temperature ranged in the upper 50’s for most of the day.

And so I have been keeping a careful vigil for snow in my town of Arlington. With rain and 63 degree weather predicted for today, I don’t think we’ll have the white stuff any time soon.

The earliest possibility for snow according to the forecast is this coming Tuesday. So if you had any plans to swing up to Vermont for some skiing . . . try us next weekend.
