“Christians look for the weak and vulnerable, draw a diagram about how to get to heaven, read some verses, and then drop them. You can attend church, read the Bible, go to prayer groups, join a men’s breakfast, and evangelize others, but it’s all just empty.”
I didn’t say all of that. This is a rough quote from a conversation I had with a former Christian. He has been burned pretty bad by the church and Evangelical Christians in general.
What can we learn from this statement? I’m not so interested in refuting it as I am in learning what we should and should not do.
At the very least it seems that we have been missing out on the point of Christianity. More on that later.
