Did Kelly mention that I completely botched the order of service? Fortunately Julia went with it and sang her song after I shared. The thing was, I just needed to tell a joke, get people laughing, and then I could plow ahead. I told the joke and got the laugh, but completely screwed up the order of things. Oh well. Deep in our culture is this drive for independence, while our spiritual goal is the opposite: to rest, dependent on the only One who can and has provided for all we need... and abundantly more. I find for myself that trying to foster an attitude of thankfulness helps curb my "need" for more...and more. When I've counted those blessings it's easier to be content! (Or maybe I am just too busy counting to fret about what is "missing"!!!) “Inconvenience, awkwardness, and interaction”…all messy words!
