I’ve been reading Ain’t Too Proud to Beg by Telford Work lately. It’s a very accessible book on the Lord’s Prayer, written in a very conversational style. In fact, on the style end of things, it may be one of the best-written theology books I’ve read in a long time.
As far as content goes, we can’t meditate enough on the Lord’s Prayer. I’ve been really stuck on the request for God’s Kingdom to come. That has become the general idea in many of my prayers lately, the center of wheel that everything else revolves around.
So far I’m tracking with Work, and look forward to reading more of what he has to say.
